Tour itinerary:
Hanoi - Lao Cai – Sapa – Lao Chai – Tavan – Sapa - Cat Cat – Sin Chai – Sapa - Halong bay – Deluxe Phoenix Cruiser
Day 1: Hanoi arrival - night train to Sapa

Hanoi is the oldest capital city in Southeast Asia. Up to now, Hanoi has been one of the few cities in Asia left entirely void of the western-style boxy business architecture. We Hanoi people regard our capital city as heart of Vietnam. Hanoi has always been a symbol of culture and a source of pride throughout the history. We would love to show you city tour with famous landscape. Arriving at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you will be met and driven to your hotel. You will have time to relax after your journey. Dinner is your choice until our guide will take you to train station for the romance of night train to Sapa.

Day 2: Lao Cai – Sapa – Lao Chai – Tavan – Sapa (B, L, D)
At an elevation of 1,600 meters, Sapa is a delightful former French hill station situated in the mountainous region of Vietnam's northwest, close to the Chinese border. The region is home to many ethnic minority groups, each wearing traditional and colorful attire. This trip includes a trek through the hills and valleys of the Sapa region, discovering several different minorities along the way. You will experience overnight accommodation in the hospitable villages of Giay and Tay ethnic minorities. The apparent hardships are worth it though as we walk through some of the most spectacular scenery that Vietnam has to offer and experience unique villages culture.

We will take 1hr bus ride uphill to the beautiful town of Sapa. The ride gives you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. Upon arrival in Sapa Town we have breakfast in local restaurant and prepare for a great trek down to the picturesque valley of Muong Hoa. We will walk on small paths and trails to reach Lao Chai and Tavan Village to visit the Tay and Day tribes, where we will have unique local experience among hill tribe people. Then keep going along the bottom of the Sapa valley. And then our car will wait and transfer back to Sapa for overnight.

Day 3: Sapa – Cat Cat – Sin Chai – Sapa (B, L)

Sunrise breakfast and then check in your hotel, get ready for our last trek. You first sneak through the market and leave the busy town behind. After a couple of minutes, you will follow a road going down hill to Cat Cat village. You will stop by a waterfall and a hydroelectric station. Take a rest here before you trek downhill to get Sin Chai village. Enjoy beautiful scenery on the way back to Sapa town for lunch. You will have free time to discover by yourself in the afternoon. Dinner is for your choice. Then our car will transfer you to Lao Cai station for overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi – Halong bay – Deluxe Phoenix Cruiser (B, L, D).

Arrive in Hanoi Station at around 5h30. Be picked up and transfer to your hotel for freshen up services (room for shower in 2 hrs and breakfast). Let us take you back in time on a fascinating relaxing journey along the Red River Delta to the World Heritage Site, the Halong Bay with our Phoenix Cruiser, a wooden junk based on the model of the old Vietnamese court vessels with sails, a wide transom and rectangular superstructure, luxurious, traditional styling paired with sophisticated modern facilities and comforts.

8.00 – 8.30: South Pacific Travel’s bus and guide will pick you up at your hotel. On the way to Halong city, enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life

12.15: Embark on Halong Phoenix Cruiser for welcome drink followed by a cruise briefing and safety instructions. Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch while our cruiser heads to the bay passing the beautiful limestone seascape.

15.15: Visiting Sung Sot cave, one of the most amazing caves in Halong Bay. The two chambers that form this amazing grotto are decorated with thousands of spectacular stalactite and stalagmite forms.

16.25: Enjoy kayaking (weather permitted) with guideline around the fishing village then return to the vessel for free time at your leisure. Fresh fruit platter will be served on the sundeck.

17.45: Halong Phoenix cruises through the Bay to its overnight anchorage near Luon Cave

18.00: Cooking demonstration and discover the mystic recipes of the Vietnamese cuisine

19.00: Seafood set-dinner on board

21.00: Enjoy evening activities – Movie Night, Board Games, Fishing or karaoke program

Day 5: Deluxe Phoenix Cruiser – Halong (B, L)

A new day has come with beautiful sunrise view from your cabin

7.30: Have breakfast while complimentary tea & coffee are served

8.00: Trip by tender to Ti Top island for swimming or climb up to the top to see the outstanding scenery of the bay.

9.00: Return to Phoenix Cruiser. The vessel cruises leisurely back to harbor

9.30: Check out and settle the bill

11.00: Set menu lunch is served on board

12.00: Disembark to the habor

4.30: Arrive back to Hanoi. Tour ends

Day 6: Hanoi departure (B)
