Myanmar Domestic Airlines & Flights
Air Bagan, Myanmar Airways, Air Mandalay and Yangon Airways are operated airlines flying throughout Myanmar. There is a 20 Kilo limit for baggage per person and excess baggage fees may be charged in Myanmar. We suggest you leave items not needed upcountry in Yangon and collect them upon your return in Myanmar.
Location
Myanmar weather country has three seasons. Winter (Cold Season from October to February with average temperatures 20-24° C but except for some places temperature might change), summer (Hot Season from March to May with average temperatures 30-35° C) and Raining Season (Wet Season from June to September with average temperatures 25-30° C).The ideal time to travel Myanmar is during winter (cold season). However, even during the Raining season, Yangon normally receives morning and afternoon showers while rainfall in Bagan and Mandalay is very low in Myanmar. The weather around Inle Lake and in Shan State is quite pleasant all year round but cold at night from December to February in Myanmar.
There are many linguistic groups in Myanmar, but the official Burmese Myanmar language is Burmese (Myanmar according to the government). Most of the Myanmar population speaks Burmese(Myanmar) language, even the ethnic minorities, with the education speaking English as well.
Religion
Buddhism is practiced by almost 90 percent of Myanmar religion Burma's population, with the Myanmar Theravada Buddhism School being the most prevalent. It has a firm hold in Myanmar's culture along with an observance of animism, or the worship of ancestors (nat). There are other religions in Myanmar, but they are not as widespread as Buddhism and animism. Some of the beliefs found include Christianity (Baptists) in Myanmar hill areas and Muslims. Christianity is practiced by 5.5 percent of Burmese Myanmar, Islam by 3.8 percent Hinduism by 0.5 percent and Animism by 0.2 percent before respectively in Myanmar.

Currency
Kyat (MMK; symbol K) = 100 pyas. Notes are in denominations of K1,000, 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5 and 1. Kyat is pronounced like the English word 'chat'. To combat the black market and limit the financial power of dissident groups, currency denominations are occasionally declared invalid without prior notice. Limited refunds are usually allowed for certain sectors of the population.

Passports:Passport valid for at least six months beyond date of intended departure required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.
Visas:Required by all nationals referred to in the chart above except transit passengers continuing their journey by the same or first connecting aircraft, provided holding valid onward or return documentation and not leaving the airport. Visa on Arrival was introduced on 1 May 2010, available to all travelers at the country's two main airports, Yangon and Mandalay.

Visa note:A separate visa is required for each child over seven years of age, even if travelling on their parent's passport.
Types cost:Tourist Visa On Arrival, 28 days, USD30; Business Visa On Arrival, 10 weeks, USD40; Social Visit Visa On Arrival, 10 weeks, USD40; Transit Visa, 24 hours, USD18.
Validity:Tourist visas are valid for two months from the date of issue for stays of 28 days in Myanmar. Business visas are valid for three months or six months from date of issue, depending on the type granted.
