Aviation officials form Cambodia and Vietnam are planning to launch two
new air routes between the two countries, the Phnom Penh Post has reported.
Thee new routes will connect Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island, with the Cambodian
beach resort of Sihanoukville, and the southern province of Can Tho with Phnom
Penh. Cambodia’s
undersecretary of State for civil aviation, Soy Sokkan, wa reported saying that
new national carrier, Cambodia Angkor Air, had been involved in discussions.

HCMC – Phuket flights
AirAsia has announced plans
to launch daily services between Ho Chi Minh (HCMC) and Phuket – the first
direct flight between the two destinations. The move represents the low-cost
carrier’s latest expansion from the Thai holiday island, which it is developing
as a hub. In addition, Air Asia plans to increase frequency on its HCMC-Bangkok
route to four flights per week.
