Trinh Thi Tuyet Thanh, a 18-year-old student of the Ho Chi Minh City Open University, was crowned Miss Fashion 2008 in Hai Phong on Saturday.

Miss Fashion 2008 Trinh Thi Tuyet Thanh (C), the first runner-up Hrôny Buon Yă (L) and the second runner-up Vo Thi Le Thu.

The first and second runners-up were Hrôny Buôn Yă, a student of Dak lak Province’s Economics and Technology College, and Vo Thi Le Thu, a student of Can Tho University.

Thanh received a cash prize of VND120 million, and the runners-up got VND80 million and VND60 million. The organizers also gave away 10 other awards and one consolation prize.

The pageant focused on the contestants’ physique and make-up, performing style, talent, and intelligence.

It was organized by the Viet Nam Modeling Association and International Trade and Fair Joint Stock Company.
