Tour overview
Sapais 1650 meters (5413 feet) above sea level and enjoys a cooler climate than most of Vietnam. It is only 9 km (5.6 miles) away from Mount Fansipan, Vietnam's highest point at 3143 meters (10311 feet). A visit to Sapacan be as relaxing or as energetic as you choose to make it. Whether your idea of pleasure is climbing to the peak of Fansipan or nestling in front of a roaring fire with a good book, trekking to the tribal cultures, sightseeing to the market you'll find that Sapaoffers the ideal spot to do either. This trip includes a trek through the hills and valleys of the Sapa region, discovering several different minorities along the way. You will overnight in the luxury hotel Victoria. The four star Victoria the only luxury hotel in North-Western Vietnam, opened in March 1998. Itinerary in glance
Night 1: Night train to Lao Cai Station
Day 1: Lao Cai Station – Sapa town – Cat Cat - Sin Chai.
Day 2: Sapa – Muong Hum market (Sunday only) – Overnight train back to Hanoi
Day 3: Arrive back to Hanoi.
Night 1: night train to Lao Cai Station (C,G)
South Pacific Travel’s bus and guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you for the overnight train to Lao Cai Station. Enjoy the experience the romance of overnight train travel
Day 1 Lao Cai station – Sapa town – Cat Cat – Sin Chai (B, L, D)Arrive in Lao Cai Station do a little bit morning exercise, feel ready for our trip. Our guide with the board under your name welcome you and pick you up at Lao Cai station then transfer to Sapa. Leave your luggage and have breakfast in Victoria hotel. Get ready for our trek. You first sneak through the market and leave the busy town behind. After a couple of minutes, you will follow a road going down hill to Cat Cat village. You will stop by a waterfall and a hydroelectric station. Take a rest here before you trek downhill to get Sin Chai village. Enjoy beautiful scenery on the way back to Sapa town for lunch. Check in hotel, you will have free time to discover by yourself in the afternoon. Enjoy your first night in Sapa with romance.

Day 2: Sapa – Muong Hum market (Sunday only) – Overnight train back to Hanoi (B, L, D)This gives you an alternative option to visit a Sunday market in the remote area which is different from Bac Ha market .Leave Sapa early in the morning we take the bus down to Lao Cai towards Bac Ha town. This bus trip takes about 2.5 hours through the lush and beautiful mountain view. Muong Hum market is located 35km from Y Ty border. On Sunday Muong Hum is always packed with colorful ethnic minorities such as Ha Nhi, Phu La, Tu Di, Black Dao, Giay, Red Hmong as well as Black Hmong. They come to buy and sell local products such as food and material for agriculture and fabric. Muong Hum market is more authentic and less visited compared with Bac Ha market. The lengths of the drives are more or less the same. After spending the whole morning exploring the market you will have lunch in a local restaurant then we go to visit the village of Ha Nhi tribe. Go back to Lao Cai to have dinner and take the night train back Hanoi.

The transfers
In Hanoi, Our guide will accompany you to the train to show you your cabin and tell you how to deal with night train traveling in Vietnam.
In Lao Cai, our guide will meet you at Lao Cai Railway Station in the morning of the first day. He also sees you off at Lao Cai Railway Station on the third day.
When you get back to Hanoi on day 4, you can easily find a taxi to get to your hotel
Food
All meals which are indicated in the itinerary, are included in the price of this trip. On this trip tour guide will cook dinner for you. Picnic lunch would be prepared by a local restaurant. The emphasis will be on healthy and nutritious fresh local produce. Please inform us if you have any special dietary requirement.
