Sapa is an incredibly picturesque village, about 1,600 meters above sea level that is part of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, 350 kilometers from Hanoi, near the Chinese border in North-Western Vietnam. You can not miss seeing the hill tribe people, their villages, rice terraces, lush vegetation and then there’s Fansipan, which at 3,142m is the highest peak in Vietnam and the last major peak in the Himalayan chain. The total population of around 40,000 consists mostly of minority groups. Excluding the Kinh people (15 per cent) who make up the majority of the Vietnamese race, there are five main ethnic groups in Sapa: Hmong (52 per cent), Dao (25 per cent), Tay (5 per cent), Giay (2 per cent) and a small number of Xa Pho.
Sapa is the mixture of cultures especially Hmong and Dao ethnic. Day 1: Lao Cai Station – Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B, L, D):
We will take 1hr bus ride uphill to the beautiful town of Sapa. The ride give you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. Upon arrival in SapaTown we have breakfast in local restaurant and prepare for a great trek down to the picturesque valley of Muong Hoa. We will walk on small paths and trails to reach Lao Chai and Tavan Village to visit the Tay and Day tribes , where we will have unique homestay experience among hill tribe people. Picnic lunch on the way then keep going along the bottom of the Sapa valley. Dinner and overnight in the local house.

Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Ban Ho ( B, L, D):
Once you get energy for your next day trek by having a delicious breakfast, you leave for Giang Ta Chaivillage of Red Dao minority. You will trek through bamboo forest which belongs to Hoang Lien National Park. On the way you will pass by a waterfall where you will have time to take a rest and enjoy surroundings. You will find a nice place to enjoy lunch. Amazing sceneries and beautiful waterfall are to be seen in the afternoon. Arrive Supan before getting to Ban Ho - the village of the Tay hill tribe. Take a rest then walking around the village before dinner. Overnight on the stilt house of the local people.

Day 3: Ban Ho – Sapa – Lao Cai Station – Overnight train back to Hanoi (B, L):
The last day of the Sapa tour will be finished by walking up the dirty path to the main road. Our jeep brings you back to Sapa for lunch, free time in the afternoon then transfer down to Lao Cai train Station for dinner and then the night train back Hanoi .Dinner is for your choice. And then our car will transfer you to Lao Cai station for overnight train back to Hanoi.
You will arrive in Hanoi Station at around 5h30. Our tour finishes.
The trekking day A typical trekking day start at about 8.30 am after breakfast. Lunch times can vary depending on the terrain. We aim to reach the next overnight stop by 4.30 or 5. During the trek we will have short breaks for rest, snack and photographing.
Food
All meals which are indicated in the itinerary, are included in the price of this trip. Picnic lunch would be prepared by a local restaurant. The emphasis will be on healthy and nutritious fresh local produce. Please inform us if you have any special dietary requirement.
The transfers In Hanoi, Our guide will accompany you to the train to show you your cabin and tell you how to deal with night train traveling in Vietnam. In Lao Cai, our guide will meet you at Lao Cai Railway Station in the morning of the first day. He also sees you off at Lao Cai Railway Station on the third day. When you get back to Hanoi on day 4, you can easily find a taxi to get to your hotel

Homestay – the unique experience.
On the Northwest Mountain Villages tour, you will need to hike five or six hours per day along
a scenic valley to reach a small cluster of ethnic minority villages located in remote area around Sapa. Homestay is really highlights of tour that give you unique experience to discover life and culture of ethnic minorities. Homestay in villages is simple in term of bedding condition and toilet, clean and located beside a spring with a good view. We will sleep on beds with mattress, clean sheet, pillows and mosquito nets. Toilet is usually flush-style. The hosts are very friendly and eager to please. Usually, the host family or guide will cook meals for you, but will not join in out of respect for the guests. If you prefer to them to eat with you, you need to ask the guide in advance to make the arrangements
