“The Lover” or “L’ Amant” - a romantic and famous movie chose Vinh Long and Sa Dec as the background. It is the place where Marguerite Duras was born and lived during her teenage. The beautiful provinces are along mighty Mekong River. A trip there will refresh you with a lot of joyful experience by bringing you along the track of that movie.

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh – Sa Dec – Vinh Long (L, D).

After breakfast, you are picked up at the hotel. Have a 3 hours drive to Sa Dec. Have lunch before visiting Maguerite Duras’s house, which now is occupied by an anti drug police and Trung Vuong Primary School that was once run by her mother. Be transferred to small boat along river to Vinh Long.  Enjoy the peaceful scenery of Mekong River and pass by the historical ferry station – now is Sparkling My Thuan Bridge - where the beautiful young lady firstly met her Chinese lover.

Arrive at Vinh Long late afternoon. Have dinner and stay overnight at local house.

Day 2: Cai Be - Vinh Long – Ho Chi Minh (B,L).

You have a relaxing morning with home breakfast. At 9:00 am, you are transferred to a local boat to enjoy Cai Be – colorful floating market. Experience the daily life by a visit to coconut candy workshop, taste the little brown sweets. Visit local houses to learn the process of making rice cakes and pop rice. Have lunch at a local restaurant. Transferred to the car, drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. End of the tour at 5:30 pm.
